Solutions on a Sufficient Scale (Part 1)

Today, those who stand to profit most from business-as-usual fossil fuel exploitation have shifted their emphasis from denying global warming is real or human-caused to pretending good citizenship, even as they spend enormous amounts lobbying legislators for regulatory delays and exceptions. The reality is that recycling, efficient cars, and other responses relying on personal good will are great, but won't begin to touch the scale of our problem. For that, we need a binding strategy that reaches across state and national boundaries and that builds ecological values into our economic system.
